Winter Club Cup Trivia Night Unites UPEI Clubs & Societies
The UPEI Clubs and Societies Winter Club Cup brought energy, laughter, and friendly competition to the Fox and Crow at 7 p.m. Hosted by UPEI Clubs and Events Coordinator Sushil Khatri and UPEISU VP Student Life Caitlyn Sallavo, the trivia night gathered student groups for an evening focused on fun and teamwork.
Eight clubs joined the competition, including the UPEI Writers Society, UPEI Dance Club, UPEI Sociology and Anthropology Society, UPEI Filipino Society [KABAYAN], UPEI Brazilian Society, UPEI Volleyball Club, UPEI Pre-Vet Society, and UPEI Nepalese Society. Teams worked together to answer questions covering PEI, UPEI, and pop culture. The variety of topics kept everyone engaged and encouraged quick thinking.
The atmosphere stayed lively as students cheered for their teams and reacted to each round. Along with bragging rights, prizes raised the stakes. First place received $250, second place earned $150, and third place took home $75. Bonus prize questions also gave participants a chance to win a UPEI panther plushie and a UPEI Bookstore gift card.

After a close competition, the UPEI Dance Club placed third, followed by the UPEI Sociology and Anthropology Society in second. The UPEI Nepalese Society secured first place.

More than just a trivia night, the Winter Club Cup gave students a chance to connect, represent their clubs, and celebrate campus community. Events like this highlight the active student life at UPEI and show how learning and fun can come together.
