The deadline to submit writing or artwork for the eleventh edition of the UPEI Arts Review is just
two weeks away! Submissions (creative or written) will be closing on December 21st, 2021. All
UPEI students, regardless of discipline, are encouraged to submit their work by email to
artsreview@upei.ca.
The Arts Review is organized by the Writing Centre with the purpose of giving students the
opportunity to share, perfect, and publish their work. The Arts Review accepts work from all
faculties, and options for written submission include but are not limited to: academic essays,
fiction, life writing, scripts, comics, and poetry. Written submissions can be any genre and can
be centred around any theme. The Review also accepts any art that can be digitally rendered,
including photography, paintings, and sketches.
After the submission deadline has passed, a team of editors will review the submissions
anonymously and determine which ones fit together into a coherent theme. The theme will not
be chosen until submissions close, so feel free to submit whatever you have! If your piece is
accepted, an editor will work with you to polish it before publication, and in the spring, all
participants who worked on volume XI of the Arts Review will come together to celebrate what
we have created.
We accept multiple submissions, so feel free to submit any number of works you have written or
created and want to share. We are excited to receive your submissions by December 21st.
