Continuing in our series of candidate interviews is our chat with the Green Party candidate Becka Viau. She is a professional contemporary artist with two degrees from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Along with her artistic work, Viau is also the current Vice-President of Culture PEI and the President of the Green Party of PEI. In our interview with Viau, along with the usual focus on her views of the economy, student issues, and of course the environment, we also asked some questions that address specific issues that voters must ask themselves when voting Green. Namely, why should people looking to unseat Stephen Harper reject strategic voting to vote Green, and what to expect from a Green candidate whose party emphasizes free votes, including against its own platform.
