UPEI Arts Review Open to Submissions

Submitted by Jacob Durden

The UPEI Arts Review has officially launched its submission process for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Under the supervision of the UPEI Writing Center, the Arts Review aims to showcase the best of what UPEI students have to offer in terms of writing and artistic talent.

Our students have continually shown the strength of their voices in past editions and we cannot wait to continue this legacy, as we are hitting a major milestone this year with the launch of our tenth volume.

All student submissions are welcome and encouraged this year and every year. As we base our theme around the best writing that has been submitted, any and all topics are publishable and we cannot wait to experience the variety of voices we will receive.

From poetry and prose to comics and scripts; from screenplays and non-fiction to scientific papers and opinion pieces, the Arts Review has a home for anything and everything.

Multiple submissions per individual are not only allowed, they are encouraged.

In addition, the Arts Review has a home for visual art as well. Send us your best drawings, sketches, photographs and digital art pieces.

Our ultimate goal is to best showcase the talent of UPEI students. Time and time again we have been shown a plethora of publishable works.

We highly encourage all students to submit, regardless of background, faculty and year of study. We cannot wait to work alongside you as editors to make your work the best it can be, and see you obtain a professional publication credit for your work.

If you have any questions or are interested in submitting your work(s), please email our editorial board at artsreview@upei.ca with your questions or submissions.

We would appreciate it if you could include a 200-word abstract for your written submissions, though this is not required.
For further information, check out our Facebook page, UPEI Arts Review. This year’s deadline for submissions is December 21st, 2020. We hope to read your submissions soon!
