Whether you are new or entering the last year of studies at UPEI, it is important to remember that campus provides a wide variety of services to help you survive and thrive during your time here. UPEI has many services available to students, many of which are free. We’ve compiled a list of ten of these many services to ease your time here at UPEI.
Accessibility Services
This is the entire bottom floor in Dalton Hall, with many different services available. Students with documented visible, invisible, and/or temporary disabilities can register with Accessibility Services. They also have accessibility case managers if you need to chat about learning difficulties or want more information.

Career Services
Dalton Hall room 209 is a place to get one on one help with resume and cover letter reviews, interview preparation, social media check-ups, and job search strategies. You can drop in to ask questions or look online for their online booking system for appointments.
Writing Centre
Students, faculty, and staff alike in any field are welcome to come to get support and coaching in their writing. Appointments are up to 45 minutes long, and they ask you take your piece of writing with you. You can see current appointment availability online and can book up to two weeks in advance. Counselling/Academic Advising
5th floor Dalton Hall is a helpful place with many professionals waiting to assist you. Confidential counselling sessions can be booked with the counsellors on campus, who’s offices are all on the 5th floor of Dalton. You can discuss personal, mental health, or relationship concerned problems. In the same place, you can receive academic advising. This is help with anything academic wise, such as planning courses, figuring out your major, or any other questions you may have.

Tutoring
Want to be a tutor or get tutoring? UPEI has a place for that. Have peers help you with your studies, to improve your grades and keep you focused and organized. To apply for tutoring visit 5th floor Dalton Hall.

Chaplaincy Centre
If you have questions about faith or need spiritual counselling this is the place to go. You can also socialize, pray, hold religious ceremonies, and more in this building. It is also home to a foodbank where students are welcome to go and get any food items they may need. Some day’s there are free meals in the centre, the dates and times will be posted on social media and around campus. The Chaplaincy Centre is number 14 on the campus map.
Health Centre
The health centre is located upstairs in the Murphy Student Centre, the entrance is the staircase across from the bookstore. It is a confidential space where you can go to check in on your health. They offer many different services including, sexual health services, as well as screening services. This service is open to students, faculty, and staff.
They are open year-round from 8:30 am to 4 pm. Closed one hour for lunch.

‘Library Ask Us’
The ‘Library Ask Us’ is an online service on the library’s website. On the right-hand side of the home screen is a chat box where you can ask many different questions. If they are online there will be a green dot at the top of the chatbox. They can answer library questions and also direct you to where to go if you have other questions, they reply quite fast and it can be a good tool to use if you’re at home and need help answering a question.
Off-Campus Housing Office
UPEI now offers off-campus housing help. You can search through UPEI approved housing openings using a specific website and logging in with your UPEI email. Go to places4students.com to see what is available. You can also list a property by filling out a form. If you have questions you can speak to the coordinator.

Residence Services
Speaking of housing, residence houses many students and there are people for you to go to as well. If you have questions or concerns there are RLA’s in the residences, but if you’d like to speak to the office you can email or call.
